New venue

We have moved!

From February 6th 2017, the WHS will be meeting in The Gallery, Christ Church, Jubilee Square, Woking GU21 6YG. Parking is available in town centre car parks. Please use the South Entrance  in the unnamed road between the Church and the former BHS. WHS committee members will be on hand to help.

The History of Woking Crematorium

St Dunstan's School visit the Bronze Age Burial Mounds on Horsell Common


A group of 60 children from St Dunstan's School were given a tour of the Burial Mounds and Peace Garden on Horsell Common by members of the Society.

WHS interview on BBC Radio Surrey

Two of our committee members (Helen and Dick) were interviewed by Danny Pike on BBC Radio Surrey yesterday morning (October 5th) live in Jubilee Square, Woking.
